Ideal candidates understand and follow written instructions, communicate well with team, and operate both powered and non-powered cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties which may include: walking, standing, lifting 1–30 lbs and other movements.

Responsibilities

• High dusting surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing and spot cleaning of surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning in specified sequence and toilet areas.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming, cleaning under furniture and edges.
• Grounds care for outside areas, including trash and sidewalks.
• Public common areas cleaning: glass, planters and cobweb checks.
• Food court cleaning: tables, trash, trays and outside areas.
• Floor sanitizing with germicidal solution, behind furniture and doors.
• Inspect room for proper furniture placement and tackle any issues.
