Job summary

Xtensys, a NY-based MSP, is seeking an experienced Professional Billing SBO Analyst to support Epic PB applications and Revenue Cycle workflows. You will lead project planning, collaborate with IT, clinical teams, and revenue teams, and deliver high-quality support across multiple environments.

The role requires hands-on Epic build experience, Epic Resolute PB certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Epic build experience.
  • Expertise in Professional Billing, Revenue Cycle workflows, payer requirements.
  • Experience with full lifecycle system builds, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and maintain core PB components (charge router, claims, remits, SBO, patient statements).
  • Resolve claim edits, rejections, denials by designing and configuring claim edit rules.
  • Collaborate with Revenue, Clinical, and IT teams to align system features with business objectives.
  • Provide end-user advocacy and training support for staff and clinicians.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Epic Community Connect experience is highly preferred.

The Role

As the Professional Billing SBO Analyst, you will provide advanced system-level support for multi-user clinical and financial applications, operating systems, hardware, software, and reporting tools. This includes installation, configuration, training, maintenance, and ongoing support of these systems.

This role requires intermediate knowledge of systems analysis, along with a comprehensive understanding of project management concepts and methodologies. You will lead and actively participate in project planning sessions, establishing clear goals, milestones, and procedures, while managing projects of varying complexity. In close collaboration with project leaders, you will support key aspects of project planning to ensure timelines and deliverables are successfully met.

You will promote excellent customer service and leverage strong communication skills to support the success of all software applications. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional departments to promote, educate, and train on current applications, while working collaboratively with Xtensys staff, clinical and operational teams, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Proven Track Record
  • Minimum of 3 years of handson Epic build and related experience.
  • Industry Expertise: Apply a comprehensive understanding of Professional Billing (PB), Revenue Cycle workflows, medical terminology, and payer requirements to drive system accuracy.
  • System Lifecycle Management: Execute fulllifecycle system builds, including rigorous testing, validation, and troubleshooting of claim issues during upgrades and implementations.
  • Technical Configuration: Configure and maintain core PB components, including the charge router, claims, remits, SBO, and patient statements.
  • Revenue Cycle Optimization: Resolve claim edits, rejections, and denials by designing and configuring strategic claim edit rules to enhance performance.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Synchronize system features with business objectives by partnering with Revenue, Clinical, and IT teams.
  • Strategic Troubleshooting: Investigate complex system discrepancies to develop and deploy sustainable, longterm technical solutions.
  • EndUser Advocacy: Partner with the training team to deliver highquality support and technical troubleshooting for staff and clinicians.
  • Effective Communication: Facilitate professional interactions and clear communication between stakeholders, technical staff, and endusers.
  • Community Connect: Prior experience supporting Epic Community Connect partners is highly preferred.
  • Flexibility: Ability to participate in a scheduled oncall rotation to ensure continuous system stability and support.
Education/Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Epic Resolute Professional Billing Administration is required.
Technical Savvy
  • Proven experience in leveraging knowledge of Epic Foundation and Epic applications to optimize workflows and improve patient care.
Communication
  • An ability to translate "techspeak" into helpful, clear solutions for nontechnical users.
Travel Requirements
  • Up to 25% for implementations, upgrades, golive, etc.
Physical Readiness
  • Capability for sedentary work, including sitting for long periods and occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force.
