Job summary

Kiddie Academy at Moorefield Station is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join the team. This contract-to-hire role begins as an hourly position with a potential transition to full-time with benefits after six months based on performance.

You're expected to love working with children, teach through play, and support development from infancy through preschool in a caring, energetic environment. CPR/First Aid is preferred, CDA/ECE coursework is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in licensed daycare, preschool, or childcare center.
• Genuine passion for working with infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
• Patient, caring, enthusiastic, dependable, and professional.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging activities for infants to preschoolers.
• Create a safe, nurturing, stimulating classroom.
• Support cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, nap time, transitions.
• Observe and document children's developmental progress.
• Build relationships and communicate with parents about growth.

Responsibilities

• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are preferred but not required.

Preferred Bonus Skills

• Experience creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, or other social media platforms.
• Basic Canva or graphic design skills.
• Ability to capture classroom photos and videos while following privacy policies.
• Interest in helping promote academy events, enrollment, and community engagement through social media.
