Job summary

GEODIS seeks an Ind Engineer II – Labor Management Systems to optimize warehouse labor through standards and engineered methods across the distribution network. You will develop best practices, produce actionable reports, and partner with operations to boost productivity.

Willingness to travel up to 50% is required. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and hands-on experience with MOST/MSD/Time Study/MTM, strong data analysis and communication skills for a range of audiences from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience using engineered work measurement methods (such as MOST, MSD, Time Study, MTM)
• Ability to understand job descriptions and estimate task times using time measurement devices
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, procedures and regulations; write reports and manuals
• Ability to communicate process and technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Responsibilities

• Establishes labor standards or reasonable expectancies and maintains labor management system to ensure accurate goal times for warehouse jobs
• Identifies savings opportunities and defines process improvement projects to drive costs out of operations
• Creates and maintains informational and graphical reports used to drive labor productivity
• Educates warehouse operations on how standards work and how to use labor-management information to increase productivity
• Participates in implementing new initiatives by data collection and analyses potential roadblocks and solutions
• Conducts root cause analysis and develops data analysis tools to assist management
• Travels up to 50% of the time
