Job summary

Lignetics, INC. in Idaho seeks a Production Worker/Forklift Operator for a temporary ~3-month assignment. The role combines packaging duties with forklift operation in indoor/outdoor environments, including sawdust exposure.

Expect 6a–4p shifts, with a $18/hour pay and a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Responsibilities include operating packaging gear, stacking pallets, QC sampling, labeling pallets, and loading trucks.

Qualifications

• One to two years forklift operation experience in an outdoor setting.
• Production line experience in an industrial setting highly preferred.
• Bending and lifting around 50 lbs bags throughout the shift.
• Indoor and outdoor work settings with sawdust present.
• Good eye/hand/foot coordination and English comprehension for safety.
• Ability to follow verbal safety commands and emergency signals in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and stack bags on pallets for warehouse placement.
• Accurately complete production reports and take pellet samples for QC.
• Label/tag wrapped pallets with required QC information and handle pallets with forklift.
• Move pallets in the warehouse and assist with loading trucks for delivery.
• Maintain communication with teammates and control room leads on status.

Production Worker/Forklift Job Duties

Packaging Operation

• Operation of packaging equipment, including bag feeder, pallet jack and shrink-wrapping machine
• Ensure bags are stacked appropriately on pallets, and are positioned for placement in the warehouse
• Accurate completion of production reports
• Taking pellet samples for quality control testing
• Labeling/tagging wrapped pallets with required quality control information
• Other duties as assigned

Forklift/Warehouse Operation

• Operation of forklift in the warehouse and other production areas to move, transport and stack wrapped pallets of wood pellets in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Operate forklift to load trucks for delivery, ensuring all required paperwork has been filled out and signed
• Count and record pallets for inventory purposes
• Stack junk pallets until they can be disposed of properly
• Maintain communication with co-workers and control room leads on status of work
• Other duties as assigned

Production Worker/Forklift Job Requirements:

• One to two years forklift operation experience in an outdoor setting
• Production line experience in an industrial setting highly preferred
• Will be bending/lifting around 50 lbs bags throughout the shift
• Will be working indoor and outdoor settings
• Will be surrounded by sawdust
• Must possess good eye, hand and foot coordination
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task
• Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.
