Job summary

TRCC Transport, Inc. is hiring a Production Worker for a coater line in our plant. You will operate rolled goods coating machinery, perform adjustments, and monitor quality on multiple stations such as Sew On, Roll Up, and Applicator Operator.

The role requires adherence to safety protocols and physical ability to lift and handle materials. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Work is onsite only with overtime as needed; benefits commence after 30 days including medical, dental, vision, disability,

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust temperature, speed, backing gauge, coating weights and coverage.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and report defects.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• All work is onsite; no remote work for this position.

Job description

We are currently hiring for Production Worker on a coater line who will work in a plant setting on a rolled goods production line at various positions including, but not limited to, Sew On, Roll Up, Blanket, Applicator Operator, QC, and other various stations throughout the production line to ensure products are manufactured according to company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pass a fitness for duty test, drug screen and submit to a TB test on a post offer employment physical.
• Set up, operate, and monitor rolled goods coating machinery to ensure continuous production.
• Perform continual checks to ensure proper machine functionality and make adjustments as needed.
• Monitor and adjust temperature, speed, backing gauge, coating weights and coverage, trim knife width, etc.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specified quality standards and report defects.
• Assist in maintenance and general housekeeping of equipment and production areas.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• All work is performed onsite. No remote work for this position.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing on a concrete floor while working at assigned position on the coater line.
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled environmental setting where temperatures can be extremely cold, hot or humid depending on the outside temperature.
• Work in an environment where there are unexpected, sudden loud noises, beeping backup alarms, flashing lights and sudden movements.
• Must be able to physically assist another person with pulling large carpet rolls off rollup.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times by lifting, pulling or pushing.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds by reaching above the shoulders.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 1st shift with a set start time. End of shift time varies based on schedule for the day.
• Overtime is mandatory from time to time based on business need.
• Work environment is on site. Remote work not offered for this position.

Pay Range

• Starting pay is $19.00 per hour.
