Job Description

The Production Worker plays a vital role in our plant operations. You may be assigned to work in any area of the plant, including coating lines, slitting, shipping, receiving, paint vault, and packaging. Your responsibilities include:

• Transporting bare coils safely using cranes, forklifts, and upenders, ensuring no damage to materials or equipment.
• Trimming, packaging, and banding finished coils according to customer specifications.
• Inspecting coils and reporting defects.
• Reading and interpreting production schedules.
• Properly identifying skids and packages per schedules.
• Recording coil weights, order numbers, etc.
• Loading and unloading coils from trucks.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school level reading and writing proficiency, visual acuity for reading labels, meters, gauges, and instructions. Additional requirements include:

• Ability to read and understand schedules, SOPs, and work rules.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to safely operate small manual and electric tools.
• Availability to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
