Job summary

Steel of West Virginia, a Steel Dynamics, Inc. subsidiary, operates a steel mill in Huntington, WV. We hire Production Workers at entry level with starting pay of $21.49 per hour, rising to $26.86 within 18 months under the current union contract, with weekly production bonuses and 401(k) contributions.

Workers support finishing lines and custom finish beams, channels, and shapes to match customer specs. Union contract governs step-rate increases and eligibility for overtime rates.

Qualifications

Overview

Steel of West Virginia, Inc., a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, Inc. operates a steel mill located in Huntington, WV and adjacent to Marshall University. SWVA supplies specialty long rolled steel beams and channels as well as semi-finished weldments via our three rolling mills and robotic weld and material handling lines.

We are growing and have openings for Production Workers. The Production Worker Entry Level Pay is $21.49 per hour. Double-time is paid on seventh consecutive day worked. Rate increases every six months until full rate ($26.86) is reached at 18 month anniversary (per current union contract).
