Job summary

Worthington Steel is seeking a Production Associate for 2nd and 3rd shifts to help produce high-quality steel products for North America. You will join a team that operates safely, moves materials throughout the plant, and maintains production throughput.

Training starts immediately with paid instruction; 90‑day first-shift training followed by transition to 2nd or 3rd shift. Opportunities for career development and advancement are highlighted in the role.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical work.
• Reliable transportation is required, as this facility is not accessible by public transportation, walking, or biking.
• Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, construction, farming, military, or other industrial environments is a plus (preferred).
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other industrial equipment is preferred, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Starting at $20.00/hour, with higher starting pay based on manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or equipment operation experience

Schedule

• Paid first-shift training (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) for approximately 90 days
• Transition to one of the following shifts:
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• 8-hour shifts with a paid lunch

What You’ll Do

As a Production Associate, you’ll help produce high-quality steel products used by leading automotive manufacturers across North America.

Every day, you’ll work with your team to safely operate equipment, move materials throughout the facility, inspect finished products, and keep production running efficiently.

Responsibilities include:
