Job Description

The Production Worker plays a vital role in the overall operations of the plant. Responsibilities include assisting in various areas such as coating lines, slitting, shipping, receiving, paint vault, and packaging. You may be assigned to different tasks based on operational needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Retrieving and transporting bare coils, operating cranes, forklifts, and upenders safely to maintain flow without damaging materials or equipment.
• Trimming, packaging, and banding finished coils according to customer specifications using appropriate materials.
• Inspecting coils for defects and reporting issues.
• Reading and interpreting production schedules.
• Identifying proper skids and packages as specified on schedules.
• Recording coil weights, order numbers, and other relevant data accurately.
• Loading and unloading coils from trucks.

Qualifications

Candidates should have high school reading and writing skills, visual acuity for reading labels, meters, gauges, and instructions. Additional requirements include:

• Ability to understand written materials such as schedules, SOPs, and work rules.
• Effective communication skills with team members.
• Ability to safely operate small manual and electric tools.
• Willingness to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
