Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Elkhart, IN is seeking a dedicated packing operator for the permanent night shift. You will process, pack, band, tag and prepare aluminum extrusions per customer specs and production needs.

The role requires no formal education, with manufacturing experience considered an asset. Strong English communication and ability to work in a team are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Process, pack, band, tag and/or prepare aluminum extrusions according to customer specifications and production requirements.
  • Operate stretching equipment according to order specifications.
  • Load aluminum logs using a crane or Combi-Lift.
  • Use measurement tools and visual inspection to verify product quality and identify damage.
  • Work closely with Press, Saw and Packing team members to meet productivity and production goals.
  • Follow work instructions, safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Starting Rate of Pay

$20.00/hour

Shifts Available and Hours

Night Shift 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

12-hour rotating schedule, same EOWE schedule

Shift Premium

$2.00/hour extra for applicable shifts

What you will be doing

Required Education/Experience
  • No formal education or previous experience required

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to recognize quality issues and potential hazards
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions

  • Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
  • Ability to work a full 12-hour shift
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and repetitive movements
