Position Summary

As a vital member of our welding team, this role requires an individual skilled in operating welding machines and engaging with various weld fixtures. It is essential to adhere to the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) welding procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met consistently.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, fostering cooperation to achieve shared goals.
• Demonstrate proficiency in welding various materials, focusing on MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints and process sheets accurately to understand project specifications.
• Interpret weld symbols to communicate welding tasks and standards clearly.
• Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality and meeting industry standards.

Requirements

What You Need to Be Successful

• Two to three years of hands-on welding experience in a high-demand heavy manufacturing environment, with knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Experience with 5S methodologies and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Understanding of various welding procedures, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, ensuring quality craftsmanship.
