Job summary

MARSHALLTOWN Hammer in Walnut Ridge, AR is seeking a Production Utility to operate machines, perform packing and assembly tasks, and support production goals with quality checks.

You will assist setup, make machine adjustments and changeovers, sharpen cutting tools, keep your cell clean, and follow safety procedures. Strong tool experience with hand, air, and power tools and basic English reading/writing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, communication, and maintaining quality while meeting production requirements are essential skills
• Experience in using standard methods and procedures for tool sharpening and machine adjustments.
• Must be able to use standard hand tools, air tools, and power tools
• Familiarity with machine operation, machine adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to calculate, reason, problem solve, and read and write in English
• Frequent standing, walking, gripping, and reaching as well as occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level
• Lifting up to 40 lbs without assistance
• Available to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly quality checks for their work area.
• Assists in set up, machine adjustments, and change over duties
• Sharpen cutting tools according to specification
• Ensures that their cell meets production requirements
• Assists other production workers, as needed.
• Completes Report as Finished reports
• Maintains a clean work area
• Actively ensures that all safety requirements and procedures are met at all times
• Other duties and project work as assigned by supervisors
