Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, LLC is expanding its Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and seeks a dedicated Utility II to join the team. The role provides backup across production lines, supporting equipment operation, sanitation, and inventory handling.

You will cover other Utilities and Operators as needed, operate touch screens, move materials with forklifts, and ensure materials are consumed accurately while maintaining safety and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to learn operator roles over a 3-month onboarding.
• Previous food-industry experience, including fryer or packaging equipment, is required.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and operate basic hand tools.
• Must follow all food safety rules and be team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for other Utilities and Operators as needed per procedures.
• Operate touch screens and data entry equipment when filling in for operators.
• Move materials using forklifts or pallet jacks to support production.
• Ensure accurate material consumption from production to inventory.
• Support safety programs and maintain clean, well-maintained work areas.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and food safety compliance.
