Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is expanding our manufacturing facility and seeks a hands-on Raw Material Utility to join our team. In this role you will handle materials, operate palletizing equipment, and support packaging to keep production moving.

The position is on a rotating schedule with early hours; you will follow safety policies, track pallet data, manage inventories, and ensure labels and barcodes are correct.

Qualifications

• Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Spanish-speaking preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero‑accident culture on the production floor.
• Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
• Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
• Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
• Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well‑maintained.
