Position SummaryThe Production Utility position plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring production teams have the materials, tools, documentation, and resources needed to maintain efficient workflow. This position works throughout the production floor to replenish supplies, transport materials, stage work orders, assist with production needs, and respond to changing priorities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransport materials, components, and completed work between departments.Stage jobs and materials at production workstations according to the production schedule.Ensure production areas remain stocked with commonly used supplies and consumables.Assist Department Managers and Work Center Leads in prioritizing and expediting workflow to meet customer delivery requirements.Monitor work centers for shortages or bottlenecks and communicate issues promptly.Retrieve missing parts, tools, or documentation needed to keep production moving.Assist with inventory replenishment and material handling activities.Remove completed work from production areas and deliver to the next operation.Support production personnel by performing miscellaneous manufacturing tasks as needed.Assist with setup and teardown of workstations for new jobs.Help maintain organization and cleanliness of production areas using 6S principles.Follow all quality standards and company procedures.Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately.Cross-train in multiple manufacturing processes to provide operational support where needed.Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred.
