Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Production Test Operator to join our client’s manufacturing team onsite in Lowell, MA. You will operate manual and automated assembly and test equipment, and perform quality checks to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year in production/manufacturing, and the ability to work under a microscope. This is a 3-month temporary assignment with potential extension.

Here’s what you’d do:
  • We are seeking a Production Operator who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of products.
  • Your responsibilities will include operating manual and automated assembly and test equipment, and performing quality control checks to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely.
  • Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues on the floor will help maintain optimal production performance.
  • Set up and operate manual production, assembly, and test equipment in accordance with product specifications.
  • Maintain production logs, including material usage, output, quantity, downtime, and quality control records.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficient, effective operation with organized, clean, and safe production areas.
  • Perform quality inspections on products during different production stages.
  • Ensure all production activities meet safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and collaborate with supervisors and team leads to optimize workflows.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Here’s what you’ll get:
  • Pay rate: $21.00-$27.00/hour DOE
  • Hours: 40 Hours/Week 1 st Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Length: 3 month Temp with a possible 3 months extension

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year or more experience in production or manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment using a microscope
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a semiconductor test environment.
  • Vocational or technical training
  • Chip-and-wire assembly experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with MIL-PRF-19500 &/or MIL-PRF-38534 product manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and safety regulations in manufacturing.
  • Excellent dexterity - ability to work with small devices
  • Ability to work under a microscope
  • Read, write, and understand English
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer skills for data logging to input and track production data.
  • Ability to multitask when needed
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment and follow instructions carefully.
  • A candidate should have solid mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to adhere to strict safety standards

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
