Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to make the manufacturing process more efficient, safe, and cost-effective while maintaining high product quality. The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration with production teams and cross-functional partners.

You will design, develop, and optimize processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards, ultimately boosting client satisfaction and operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Experience with metal fabrication, machining, forming, welding, assembly, and/or industrial coating.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and related methodologies.
  • Provide day-to-day production support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet quality standards and drive root cause analysis when needed.
  • Analyze costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Evaluate, specify, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tools with proper maintenance.
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation such as process flows and work instructions.

  • Documentation:Createandmaintaindetailedmanufacturingdocumentation,includingprocessflows,work instructions, and production reports.
  • Collaboration:Workcloselywithcross-functionalteams,includingdesign,quality,andsupplychain,toensure smooth product development and production processes.
  • Health&Safety:Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, machining, forming, welding, assembly, and/or industrial coating.
  • Demonstrated experience improving manufacturing processes, increasing production efficiency, and resolving production-related issues.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design programs.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment, collaborating closely with production personnel and supporting manufacturing equipment and processes.
