Job summary

DMG MORI Manufacturing USA in Davis, CA is seeking a Production Technology Manager to lead the Production Engineers in the Production Technology Team. This role focuses on planning, guiding, and coordinating projects to meet company goals and standards.

You will drive scheduling, tooling, and process improvements, mentor staff, and ensure effective collaboration with assembly, machining, and purchasing. A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years in production technology or related roles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Production Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related occupation.
• Proven leadership transitioning from engineering to team leadership.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes for new product and parts.
• Prepare all necessary tools, fixtures, and equipment on time.
• Improve production productivity.
• Provide work leadership and training to team members as front line supervisor.
• Establish and communicate clear expectations for team members regarding productivity results.
• Lead corrective and preventive action plan development and implementation.
• Manage team member’s working time and reporting requirements and hold performance reviews.
• Use engineering knowledge to design machine components, fixtures and tooling.
• Perform product development activities including concept and production development.
• Coordinate with assembly, purchasing, machining to facilitate schedule and delivery.
• Manage bill of materials for designed products and order parts as necessary.
