Job description

Reports To: Manager, Production; Manager, Facility Operations

Position Overview

Production Technicians are responsible for all aspects of plant processing, from crop harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale, as outlined by the management team. Responsibilities include trimming, assembling completed product materials into various containers and packages, and ensuring the appropriate quantity, weight, and type of product is packaged. This position requires working efficiently, increasing productivity, and acting professionally with regard to the management and use of all production facilities and processing equipment.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $18.81 + benefits

Schedule: Full time

This position will remain open for at least one week, until 1/27/2024, but may remain open beyond that date.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Assisting in harvest and post-harvest plant processing of medical cannabis.
  2. Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, inspection, and sanitation.
  3. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  4. Hand trimming fan leaves from plants before harvest using shears or scissors.
  5. Transporting harvested plants to drying areas and hanging to dry.
  6. Operating trimming machines to remove guard and/or sugar leaves (if needed).
  7. Weighing, packaging, labeling, and recording medical cannabis for distribution.
  8. Following instructions and assisting with delegated tasks.
  9. Working efficiently and maintaining professionalism and service culture.
  10. Ensuring compliance with policies, including security, access, dress code, and schedules.
  11. Adhering to HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Must be at least 21 years old.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent.
  3. MED Badge.
  4. 1-3 years of experience in production, including hands-on activities.
  5. Knowledge of weights and measurements.
  6. Availability for evening, night, and weekend work.
  7. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  8. Speed, precision, and attention to detail with equipment.
  9. Ability to multi-task and maintain consistency.
  10. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Additional Abilities
  1. Physical activity including prolonged sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 10 pounds or more with assistance.
  2. Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions accurately.
  3. Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  4. Note: Duties may be reassigned as needed; accommodations may be provided to enable performance of essential functions.
