Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc is seeking a Production Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will monitor process parameters, perform routine maintenance, and ensure bottles meet weight and dimensional specs.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in high-volume production, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical basics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Process Technician in high-volume production.
• Experience with extrusion or blow molding equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings (temperature, hydraulic pressure, cooling) to ensure quality output.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure bottles meet weight and dimensional specifications.

Job description

As a Production Technician, you operate equipment to manufacture plastic containers for leading consumer brands.

As a Production Technician, You Will:

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers
• Troubleshoot equipment & perform routine preventative maintenance
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions

This Is A Great Fit If You Have:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Manufacturing Process Technician working with equipment used for high-volume production
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred
• Hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical mechanical basic knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve

Pay & Shift Nights: 6:30pm-7:00am (3-2-2-3 Schedule) $25+/hr.
