Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc is seeking a Process Technician in Medina, OH to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment, monitor process variables, and ensure product quality. You will troubleshoot issues, perform basic maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement with your team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical inclination with hands-on repair and tools.
• At least 1 year operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume line.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding is a plus.
• Basic hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical understanding is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding machines and equipment.
• Monitor and adjust production settings (heat control, water cooling, hydraulic pressure).
• Troubleshoot machines and perform basic maintenance.
• Check product quality against specifications (weights, dimensions).

Job description

Process Technician

As a Process Technician you are responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring our products meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

Shifts: 1st: 7am-3pm ($20.00/hr) 2nd: 3pm-11pm ($22.50/hr)

Responsibilities

• You Will Operating extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing production machines and equipment.
• Monitoring and adjusting production machine settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure) to keep production running smoothly.
• Troubleshooting machines and doing basic maintenance.
• Checking product quality to assure it meets customer specifications (e.g., bottle weights, dimensions).
• Teaming up with your co-workers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Learning new skills with hands-on training and career development opportunities.

Requirements

• You Have Mechanical inclination – you like to fix things, use tools, work with your hands.
• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding machines and equipment is a plus!
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus!
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
