Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. in Pineville, LA, is seeking a Process Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled facility.

You will monitor and adjust process parameters, perform preventative maintenance, and help ensure product quality by inspecting bottle weights and dimensions.

We offer fixed 12-hour day shifts on a 3/2/2/3 cycle, opportunities for advancement, and a strong safety and benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification or Secondary Education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology.
• Combination of relevant work experience and education that demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and an ability to perform the essential functions and duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment & perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions.
