Job summary

Shrader Tire and Oil is seeking a Commercial Retread Technician to operate in Melvindale, MI. You will mount and dismount tires, inspect wheels, and ensure safety procedures in a production setting. The role runs Monday–Friday on first shift with possible overtime, and offers a strong benefits package.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and integrity within a family-owned company that has served the transportation sector for decades.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift and roll tires up to 100lbs.
• Must adhere to all safety guidelines including PPE.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount tires on steel and aluminum wheels using tire changers.
• Inspect tires and wheels for damage and pull anything that doesn't pass.
• Inflate assemblies in a safety cage per OSHA 1910.177, every time.
• Install valve stems, balance, and label assemblies per the work order.
• Stage finished assemblies and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Move product with pallet jacks and forklifts (once trained).

What we pay

• $18-$20 Based on PriorExperience


• $1.50/hour Productivity Bonus Available

When you will work

• Monday - Friday 1st Shift - 7:00 am to 3:30 pm


• Some overtime when required

What you will do
