Qualifications

Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $27.00/hr

The Level 3 Production Technician will lead advanced assembly tasks related to electrical, mechanical, and / or control systems with a primary focus on control panel assembly, wiring, and point-to-point checks for continuity. Working under the guidance of Managers and Team Leads, the Technician will read and interpret blueprints or electrical schematics, assemble control panels and mission-critical equipment, and perform quality control (QC) and pre-test procedures. This role supports both production assembly and routine shop maintenance and may involve infrequent travel for system installation or service support.

  • Assemble control panels and electrical systems to meet client and product specifications.
  • Perform wire terminations, layout, and installation of components per blueprints or electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment (multimeter, continuity testers, etc.) safely and effectively.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED OR equivalent hands-on experience in electrical assembly.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an electrical assembly or electrician role, preferably in manufacturing, panel assembly, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, electrical meters, and diagnostic tools.
  • Basic understanding of PLC wiring and control systems (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience in electrical assembly, troubleshooting, and system testing.
  • OSHA 10 Certification is not required but preferred.
  • Electrical safety training (lockout / tagout procedures, NFPA 70E awareness) not required but preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Ability to take direction from managers and team leads.
  • Ability to provide feedback, mentor junior team members, and communicate with cross functional teams such as Production Support, Engineering and Project Management.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment - adhering to safety standards and PPE guidelines.
Physical Requirements
  • Typical of a Manufacturing/Warehouse floor. May be cold in winter, warm in summer. Noise level commensurate with machine operation, fork trucks, general industrial activity.
  • Possess basic tools including gear wrenches, impact gun, torque wrenches, metric & standard sockets.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, squatting, kneeling may be necessary.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to read, understand basic schematic/ blueprint.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively using phones or computer software.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
  • Must be able to travel between DVM locations as needed, some travel could require overnight stays.
