Job summary

Techo-Bloc in Douglassville, PA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to lead electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment. This role focuses on minimizing downtime through proactive inspection, repair of motors, drives, conveyors, and related systems.

The candidate will work 5pm-5am Monday-Thursday, with a base pay range of $33–$42 per hour plus a year-end bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in heavy industrial maintenance (preferred).
  • Experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in industrial settings.
  • Troubleshooting electrical components (IOs/OLs/relays).
  • Experience with 480 VAC, 120 VAC, 24 VDC, and 4-20 mA systems.
  • Use of multimeter and megger for diagnostics.
  • Experience with VFD drives and associated motors.
  • Fabrication, welding (stick/MIG) experience helpful.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect and repair components like motors, gear boxes, belts, bearings, and augers.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and test equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs, sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and document tasks in the work order system.
  • Design and weld custom metal parts and structural assemblies.
  • Operate at heights and with cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure equipment reliability and safe operation.

Job Description
  • Pay: $33–$42/hr base pay + year-end bonus
  • $2/hr shift differential for hours worked 5pm-5am
  • $85K–$107K average annual income based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5pm-5am

Location: Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, Limerick and surrounding areas)

  • Lead electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as large motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
  • Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues
  • Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
  • Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairs.
  • Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
  • Leads troubleshooting and repair on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
  • Design, cut, shape, and weld custom metal parts, brackets, fixtures, and structural assemblies
  • Enter daily tasks, parts used and time into work order system
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 3 + years’ experience working in heavy industrial maintenance. Technical degrees/certificates in electric, electro-mechanical, welding or related field preferred
  • Proven maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
  • Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment
  • Experienced in heavy industrial mechanical repairs; rigging, welding (Stick & Mig) & fabrication preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, & Allen Bradley
  • Proficiency in precision measuring utilizing high-accuracy tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc. to verify tight tolerances in manufacturing
  • Proficient with use of power tools and fabrication equipment. i.e. grinders, drills, welding, saws, press, bearing heaters, torch, etc.
  • Experienced working with CMMS and MS Office Suite
  • Collaborative; Works in the spirit of partnership.
