Job Description
- Pay: $33–$42/hr base pay + year-end bonus
- $2/hr shift differential for hours worked 5pm-5am
- $85K–$107K average annual income based on experience
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5pm-5am
Location: Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, Limerick and surrounding areas)
- Lead electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as large motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
- Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues
- Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
- Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
- Test malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairs.
- Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
- Leads troubleshooting and repair on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
- Design, cut, shape, and weld custom metal parts, brackets, fixtures, and structural assemblies
- Enter daily tasks, parts used and time into work order system
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3 + years’ experience working in heavy industrial maintenance. Technical degrees/certificates in electric, electro-mechanical, welding or related field preferred
- Proven maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
- Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment
- Experienced in heavy industrial mechanical repairs; rigging, welding (Stick & Mig) & fabrication preferred
- Experience troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, & Allen Bradley
- Proficiency in precision measuring utilizing high-accuracy tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc. to verify tight tolerances in manufacturing
- Proficient with use of power tools and fabrication equipment. i.e. grinders, drills, welding, saws, press, bearing heaters, torch, etc.
- Experienced working with CMMS and MS Office Suite
