Job summary

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is seeking a Production Worker II - Defense at our Seattle, WA facility. This role involves assembling components, operating production equipment, and meeting production schedules.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and solid mechanical aptitude; prior production experience in manufacturing is preferred, and the ability to load/unload parts is helpful. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• You may be asked to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours with breaks.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to work as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assembles small basic components to meet demand.
• Runs machines for assembly of components.
• Creates single components for manufacturing.
• Inspects components for defects.
• Packs assembled components per work orders.
• Packs and labels finished work pieces per orders.
• Reports problems to lead or supervisor.
• Adheres to production safety standards.
• Notifies supervisor of safety concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
