Job description

Pay Rate: 20/hr. Shift: 1st shift - 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday (Flexible).

General Summary: The Production Technician I is responsible for manufacturing a variety of different GC columns; will require excellent organization, good time management, and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow written instructions (SOP) for all critical processes.
  • Processing GC capillary columns.
  • Follow all Safety procedures, including wearing appropriate protective equipment.
  • Prepare GC capillary columns for processing using tools according to written instructions.
  • Material verification and inspection.
  • Schedule time efficiently to complete work orders in order of priority.
  • Data entry in AX/Access computer system.
  • Keep all work areas, equipment, and tools neat, clean, and organized.
  • Maintain and repair the equipment as needed.
  • Transfer completed GC capillary columns, with documentation, to QA department for inspection.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • 1–2 Years Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ensures all work is accurate and free of errors / defects.
  • Requires analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Attention to detail, pay specific attention to tasks.
  • Strong organizational skill, plans and assigns resources in a detailed fashion.

The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate; higher level of noise may be prevalent in laboratories or warehouse settings. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to travel or work necessary overtime.
