Job summary

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, organize, prepare, and test laboratory samples following established procedures.
  • Perform testing and analysis on samples including water and soil.
  • Support laboratory workflows by preparing samples and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Record sample preparation steps and test results in LIMS or batch documentation.
  • Follow SOPs, quality procedures, and laboratory safety guidelines.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and notify the team of supply needs.
  • Communicate any sample issues, equipment concerns, or testing delays.
  • Work independently while managing assigned testing responsibilities.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician I to support daily laboratory operations in a production-focused testing environment. This role will assist with receiving, preparing, testing, and documenting samples while following established laboratory procedures and safety guidelines.

Schedule: 1st Shift | 9:00am-6:00pm

Pay: $20/hour

Type: Contract to hire

Pay Rate Low: 18 | Pay Rate High: 22

Responsibilities

Laboratory Techniques & Equipment
  • Experience or coursework with analytical instrumentation such asICP/ICP-MS, GC/GC-MS, HPLC, Ion Chromatography (IC), and Mercury Analyzer.
  • Familiarity with laboratory software, data systems, and electronic documentation platforms is a plus.
