Job summary

Tenneco in United States, Kentucky (Glasgow) is seeking a Production Technician responsible for the setup and operation of friction manufacturing equipment, including the compound, cure press, bagger, preform, high-volume finish line, inspector, press unloader, and other assigned positions.

You will follow standard work, accurately enter tickets and production logs, maintain safety and 5S standards, perform preventative maintenance, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Successful completion of basic skills test.
• Successful completion of drug screens, background screens, and physical demands testing.
• Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills including decimals & fractions.
• Ability to follow written & oral instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret precise measuring instruments.
• Works well with others on the team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety rules, using PPE as required.
• Inspects product for quality and reports discrepancies; records scrap data.
• Operates machines per standard work and enters data for tickets and logs.
• Maintain and utilize set 5S Standards.
• Maintain machine condition and perform PM's and autonomous maintenance as required.
• Produce daily quantity and adjust pace to meet deadlines.
• Perform other jobs as assigned.
