Job summary

At Tenneco, the Production Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of friction manufacturing equipment, including the compound, cure press, bagger, preform, high volume finish line, inspector, press unloader, and other assigned positions.

You will follow standard work, maintain safety, record data, perform preventative maintenance, and help meet daily production goals while upholding Tenneco's core values and Get Stuff Done mindset.

Qualifications

• Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills including decimals & fractions.
• Ability to read and interpret precise measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow written & oral instructions.
• Works well with others on the team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules, using PPE daily.
• Inspects product for quality; investigates causes and records scrap data.
• Operates machines per standard work requirements and records data.
• Maintain and utilize the set 5S Standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and autonomous maintenance as required.
• Produce daily output and adjust pace to meet deadlines.
• Follow company values and perform other assigned jobs.
