Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG is seeking a dedicated Inspector/Machine Operator in Fort Mill, SC. The role focuses on setting up and programming machines, verifying accuracy, and supporting operators through ramp-ups, while maintaining records and following safety procedures.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience with complex machinery, blueprint reading, and tools. Compensation includes a $1,500 hiring bonus, shift premiums, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set up and programming of operating machines including accuracy and effectiveness checks in various test sequences
• Oversee ramp up of machines after setup procedure and support Operators in operating the machines
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow documented procedures and processes and maintain accurate records and tracking
• Check finished product/product component and submits for approval
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to use instruments for measuring and to identify defects
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate complex machinery for use in inspection
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred:

• Multiple years of experience operating complex machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
• Salary Range: $30.85 - $34.70
• 2nd and 3rd shift premium available
• Hiring Bonus: $1,500 paid out in steps
