Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Cutting Operator to set up, operate, and maintain die-cutting machines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will cut, crease, and shape paperboard while ensuring quality and safety.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and teamwork. Training occurs on a day shift (6am-2pm) for up to 120 days, followed by 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) after training. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior experience with die-cutting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate die-cutting presses according to job specifications.
  • Perform off-press and on-press make-readies with accuracy.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and SOPs to ensure quality.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet standards.
  • Maintain equipment and report mechanical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with team and management to meet production goals.
  • Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

In this hands-on role, you’ll set up, operate, and maintain state-of-the-art die-cutting machines to cut, crease, and shape paperboard and other substrates. You’ll ensure precision, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production efficiency—all while contributing to a team that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform both off-press and on-press make-readies with accuracy and efficiency
  • Set up and operate die-cutting presses according to job specifications
  • Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Collaborate with team members & management to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule
  • Must be willing to work either
    • 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm) after training.
    • Training: Day shift (6am - 2pm, Monday-Friday) for up to 120 days

Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
