Green Bay Packaging in Green Bay, WI is seeking a dependable Gluer Operator to set up and run folding carton folder-gluer machines, ensuring cartons meet quality standards. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 8–12 hour shifts, and adapting quickly in a fast-paced production environment.

You will follow detailed work instructions, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot adjustments to keep machines at target speeds.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate folder-gluer machines and ensure carton quality.
• Lift and feed stacks of paperboard up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Stand for 8–12 hour shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
• Follow instructions and maintain product conformance to specs.
• Perform routine maintenance and clear jams as needed.
• Willingness to work second or third shift with overtime.

Job description

Our Gluer Operators are responsible for the set-up and operation of folder-gluer machines, ensuring all cartons meet our high-quality standards, for all our customers.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Set up window/folder-gluer machines
• Feed machines during production runs
  • Must be able to continuously lift, fan, and load stacks of paperboard into the machine feed. This requires repetitive reaching and gripping.
• Troubleshoot and perform machine adjustments as needed
• Must be comfortable standing and moving in a fast-paced environment for the duration of an 8-12-hour shift, maintaining the physical pace required to keep the machine running at target speeds.
• Follow work instructions and procedures for each job
• Meet job quotas and maintain product conformance to specifications
• Perform general maintenance
  • Fine motor skills required for clearing occasional jams and making precise adjustments to belts, guides, and glue guns.
• Handle all other duties as assigned

• Must be willing to work 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm) or 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am) with some overtime/weekend work
  • Training will be on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm) up to the first 120 days of employment
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

Experience

• 2 years: Quality control (preferred)
