Job summary

Green Bay Packaging in De Pere, Wisconsin is seeking Gluer Operators to set up and run folder-gluer machinery, ensuring cartons meet our high-quality standards for every customer.

You will lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, stand for 8–12 hour shifts, and learn on the 1st shift for up to 120 days before transitioning to the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu 10:00pm–6:00am) with occasional overtime. Safety and quality are our top priorities.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift (Sun–Thu 10:00pm–6:00am) with overtime.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up window/folder-gluer machines.
• Feed machines during production runs.
• Load stacks of paperboard into the feed, requiring repeated reaching and gripping.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machines as needed.
• Stand and move in a fast-paced 8–12 hour shift to maintain target speeds.
• Follow work instructions and procedures to meet quotas and product specifications.
• Perform general maintenance and clear occasional jams on belts, guides, and glue guns.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Job description

Our Gluer Operators are responsible for the set-up and operation of folder-gluer machines, ensuring all cartons meet our high-quality standards, for all our customers.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Set up window/folder-gluer machines
• Feed machines during production runs
• Must be able to continuously lift, fan, and load stacks of paperboard into the machine feed. This requires repetitive reaching and gripping.
• Troubleshoot and perform machine adjustments as needed
• Must be comfortable standing and moving in a fast-paced environment for the duration of an 8-12-hour shift, maintaining the physical pace required to keep the machine running at target speeds.
• Follow work instructions and procedures for each job
• Meet job quotas and maintain product conformance to specifications
• Perform general maintenance
  • Fine motor skills required for clearing occasional jams and making precise adjustments to belts, guides, and glue guns.
• Handle all other duties as assigned
