Job summary

Veranova is seeking a Production Technician at its Devens, MA facility. The role involves ensuring the safe and compliant manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, completing batch records in line with cGMP, and being an active member of the Emergency Response Team.

Candidates are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing facility. This position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

The Production Technician is responsible for the safe, cost‑effective, and timely manufacture of product that is fit for intended use and meets customer requirements and production schedule.

This position is 100% on site at Devens, MA facility and will follow a rotating shift 6AM-6PM schedule.

  • Promotes a positive work environment by maintaining a safe work area and ensuring that team members have the knowledge, skills, and appropriate tools to perform their assigned duties and a thorough understanding of their performance expectations.
  • Responsible for safety equipment and active participation in safety program and hazard analysis. Wears appropriate PPE for task.
  • Responsible for reporting all near misses, accidents, and dangerous occurrences through the appropriate company procedures to ensure an investigation is initiated.
  • Completes batch records in accordance with FDA and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines.
  • Ensures a level of housekeeping appropriate for a pharmaceutical manufacturer and maintains 5S areas.
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency and self‑assuredness in applying cGMP standards; provides process support and troubleshooting necessary to meet all customer requirements.
  • Ensures that waste is appropriately characterized, labelled, stored, and disposed in compliance with all company, state and federal regulations. Works collaboratively with Environmental, Health & Safety, as appropriate.
  • Active member of Emergency Response Team. Participates in Emergency Response Training and related activities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1-2 years experience in regulated manufacturing facility.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds using appropriate material handling equipment; obtain and maintain certification as forklift operator.
  • Must be willing to work a rotating shift.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English-language; strong written and verbal communication skills; good understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions with guidance from senior team members or supervisor.
  • While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
Salary Range

$30.00–$32.00 hourly base salary. The salary range for this role is $30.00–$32.00/hour. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In exceptional cases, compensation may exceed the stated range. All full‑time employees are eligible to participate in our annual incentive bonus program. Bonus targets vary by career level and are based on individual and company performance.
