Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician Associate to assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies, and to perform quality inspections. The role operates on 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with full health benefits and other standard perks.

The position requires reading work orders, following procedures, and collaborating with team members in a manufacturing environment. Occasional travel and physical tasks are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; work or military experience acceptable.
• 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Availability to travel more than 75% of the time.
• Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and perform repetitive assembly of trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions.
• Safely utilize measuring and inspection instruments.
• Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner.
• Work with materials including steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards.
• Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within department.
