Job summary

Carter BloodCare is seeking a Production Technician to separate whole blood into components and to label products for storage or shipment. The role requires operating equipment accurately and documenting details to ensure compliance with FDA, AABB, EU, OSHA standards.

Employees must complete required training within 90 days, work either independently or in a team, and handle repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and safety in a walk-in freezer environment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITYReporting to the Manager and Assistant Manager of Production/Labeling, the Production Technician is responsible for the separation of whole blood into blood and blood components (including the proper operation of equipment and the labeling of blood components) for long-term storage or shipment. Functions must be completed in a manner consistent with all applicable standards, procedures, regulations, departmental goals and objectives, and must be in compliance with standards set forth by, but not limited to the following regulatory bodies: FDA, AABB, EU, and OSHA.Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.EDUCATIONHigh School Graduate, or GEDEXPERIENCEProduction or manufacturing experience, preferredSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEMust complete training for essential functions within 90 days, as appropriate for the shift assigned.
