Job summary

Carter BloodCare is seeking a Production Technician to separate whole blood into components and to label products for storage or shipment. The role requires operating equipment accurately and documenting details to ensure compliance with FDA, AABB, EU, OSHA standards.

Employees must complete required training within 90 days, work either independently or in a team, and handle repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and safety in a walk-in freezer environment.

Qualifications

• Must complete training for essential functions within 90 days
• Organized and able to document details accurately and completely
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
• Ability to work with strict time expectations, restraints and deadlines
• Keeps focus on repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand up to 12 hours
• Exposure to extreme cold and use of PPE in walk-in freezer/refrigerator

Responsibilities

• Separation of whole blood into blood and blood components and labeling
• Proper operation of equipment and labeling of blood components
• Maintain correct temperatures for unprocessed blood products
• Complete federally regulated unit transactions without error multiple times per day
• Ensure compliance with FDA, AABB, OSHA, and related standards and procedures
