Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Production Technician position. The Production Technician is responsible for the loading and unloading of cylinders and freight from trucks, filling cylinders with compressed and liquefied gases safely, and following all established procedures and regulations. Other responsibilities include:

1. Determining weights of cylinders and freight on orders to be loaded on each truck/trailer
2. Loading trucks/trailers so that applicable weight limits are not exceeded
3. Loading, unloading, and handling all materials to prevent damage during transport
4. Filling industrial and medical grade gases into cylinders following all procedures, maintaining accurate records
5. Filling industrial, medical, and food grade liquefied gases into cylinders following all procedures
6. Filling cryogenic refrigerated liquids into containers and vessels following procedures
7. In supervisor’s absence, or as necessary, assisting customers, reviewing paperwork, and managing tickets
8. Performing analytical tests on products as per established procedures
9. Performing other tasks as assigned

Wage: $19-$20 per hour

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Accurate data entry skills and familiarity with relevant software
• Knowledge of cylinders and gases is a plus
• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills
