Job description

Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions vital to their industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S., supplying oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and syngas in large quantities to major customers in chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are monitored 24/7 within our advanced operations control center in Houston, Texas. Our control group oversees over 89,000 data points, assisting with product supply and coordination. We continuously optimize our supply network to ensure high reliability and energy efficiency, enabling quick and effective supply adjustments to support our customers' growth.

The Production Technician position is responsible for the daily operations of the ASU plant in Hahnville, LA, including:

• Safe and reliable operation of the Air Separation Unit (ASU).
• Adherence to plant safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
• Operational checks, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, and logging.
• Following SOPs, interpreting flow charts, P&IDs, schematics, and performing basic math operations.
• Performing operator rounds, sampling, truck loading, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensuring safety compliance among contractors, visitors, and staff.
• Supporting safety, health, and environmental procedures.
• Operating control boards and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards and organizational discipline.
• Managing emergency situations and suggesting safety or efficiency improvements.
• Preparing equipment for maintenance, entering work orders, and participating in training.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with computers and Google software.
• Teamwork and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Highly motivated with a willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to wear PPE, lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and wear a respirator.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-year technical degree or training.
