Job summary

A leading company in critical infrastructure solutions is seeking an Assembly Technician to build and modify microprocessor-based systems. Job Overview

Build upper-level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor-based systems. Modify standard communications equipment and fabricate custom equipment to meet customer requirements.

A Day In The Life

  1. Primary Responsibilities:
    1. Manufacture upper-level assemblies and sub-assemblies for microprocessor-based systems:
    2. Assemble components for sub-assemblies;
    3. Install panels and upper-level sub-assemblies;
    4. Assemble access panels;
    5. Perform detailed wiring.
  2. Secondary Responsibilities:
    1. Fabricate and modify products such as page/party stations, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, wire wrap boards, relay panels, cabinet sub-assemblies, and cabinets;
    2. Correct problems during fabrication and final testing;
    3. Lay out and fabricate custom metal work;
    4. Support and train Technicians I as needed;
    5. Review documentation for errors and omissions.
  3. Address issues arising during manufacturing and testing.
  4. Provide support and training to technicians as needed.
  5. Review all documentation for accuracy.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of assembly experience, with ability to follow written procedures, drawings, wire lists, and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of GAI-Tronics products is helpful.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to distinguish and identify different component and part colors.
