As a part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, the Manufacturing Technician I supports aerospace and spaceflight production by performing hands-on fabrication and structural assembly. This entry-level position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to high-quality, reliable workmanship. Technicians are essential contributors to the delivery of aircraft and spacecraft, upholding our company's culture of quality, cost, delivery, safety, and attitude.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Perform mechanical fabrication using hand tools and inspection equipment
• Operate within one or more of the following disciplines :
• Deburr- Shear- Polish- Saw- Rout
• Receive cross-training in Assembly, Brake Forming, Heat Treat, Hot / Press Forming, and more
• Follow detailed work instructions, process sheets, and blueprints
• Handle delicate aerospace components with precision and care
• Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections
• Accurately complete all required documentation (e.g., routers, inspection logs)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Collaborate with team members to identify issues and support manufacturability

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION :

• High school diploma or GED required

EXPERIENCE :

• 0-2 years of related assembly or manufacturing experience
• Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred
• Familiarity with aerospace industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100)
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
• Mechanical aptitude in aerospace, automotive, or motorsports
• Forklift / material handling experience preferred (certification required)
• Ability to multi-task and deliver work on schedule

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Basic computer proficiency for production documentation

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

• Forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified
