Quartz Boule Technician
In this position you will works as a Production Technician in an advanced manufacturing facility specializing in the creation of fused quartz products which are an integral piece of the semiconductor supply chain. You will apply your mechanical and tool skillset to troubleshoot production equipment, replacing belts, gaskets and O-rings as well as changing oil and other repair related tasks.
Responsibilities
Follows all company and site applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and requirements.
Operate, maintain, and repair production equipment including troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues.
Assist & participate in root cause analysis of equipment issues, quality defects, & customer complaints.
Repair and/or replace refractory, piping, fittings, pumps, filters, and all other essential mechanical items.
Follow standard operating procedures or manufacturing production instructions (MPI) and specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
Wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each activity as required.
Perform all duties and tasks associated with the Production Technician position.
Operates material handling equipment & powered industrial trucks such as forklifts.
Must be able to learn all technical aspects of the job.
Communicate with stakeholders such as Engineers, R&D Technicians, Supply Chain, and Quality Control.
Train and assist others.
Required to keep accurate production and quality records.
Perform Shipping & Receiving duties as needed.
Assist in Inventory Management & Cycle Counting.
Keeps work area clean and organized.
Assist in 5S, Lean, and Continuous Improvement activities.
Perform other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Required
Willing and able to work 12-hour shift schedule with 4 days on and 4 days off, may include weekends.
3 years hands on experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use or learn Microsoft Office, Outlook email, & ERP system (SAP).
Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 500 lbs.
Must be able to work in an environment where electromagnetic fields are always present.
Must be able and medically approved to wear a tight-fitting respirator or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) when required.
Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, kneel, & climb.
Must satisfactorily complete skills assessment.
