Job summary

HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær in Marlborough, CT, is seeking a Production Technician to operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high- quality manufacturing output. This on-site role supports daily production activities and adheres to all company and regulatory standards.

You will perform point-to-point soldering, assemble/test parts from blueprints, and test sensor functions while collaborating with the project engineer to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing/production or technical environment.
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods, including crimping and soldering.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools.
• Experience working on assembly under a microscope.
• Experience in micro-assembly operations.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, diagrams and safety documents.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; comfortable with machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• Ability to follow written procedures in English.
• Lift, push or pull up to 40 lbs; basic computer skills.
• On-site work 5 days a week at Marlborough location.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Assemble prototypes in conjunction with project engineer
• Follow documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and proper functioning of parts
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
• Follow all safety policies, including proper use of PPE and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, quality, and safety

Required Qualifications:

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise, moving equipment, and production materials

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $23.00-$26.00/hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time and will not require sponsorship either now or in the future to obtain an employment visa.
