Plant technicians are hired as members of a high- performance work team. Technician work teams are responsible for :

  • Operating production lines
  • Keeping production flowing
  • Meeting performance goals
  • Maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products

Essential Functions of this position include :

  • Work in and out-of-doors in the seasonal ranges of temperature and humidity.
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Enter confined spaces – including tanks and other normal work areas
  • Climb stairs, ladders, platforms, etc. on equipment, tankage and building structures for the purpose of inspecting, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting.
  • Bend at the knees and bend and twist the back for the purposes of operating and maintaining equipment.
  • Stand on concrete floors for periods of up to 12 hours/shift.
  • Drive a material handling tractor backwards in areas of high traffic and close quarters.
  • Operate high speed equipment requiring high levels of physical coordination and sensory capability (i.e. auditory, visual, olfactory, touch).
  • Consistently attend work during normally scheduled work hours
  • Work any scheduled shifts, weekends, up to 12 hours and occasional overtime. (Rotating shifts – Plant specific)

Technicians perform various types of work such as:

  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed making, packing and other production related equipment
  • Using basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations, demonstrate ownership, confront business-related problems and continuously improve the equipment and processes
  • Technicians are responsible for following all safety and good manufacturing practices as detailed in plant procedures

Qualifications: PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE (2 yrs. Preferred) Individuals with a desire to learn manufacturing processes including operating and maintaining automated equipment, computer systems and product distribution systems, should apply.

In addition, we are seeking individuals with:

  • Strong technical aptitude, proven leadership, problem solving skills, solid interpersonal skills, computer skills (Data Bases, Excel, Word, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
  • Ability to work well in a team-based, diverse culture
  • Experience in liquid process or packing operations'

Job Type: Full time (Overtime)

Schedule:

12 HR SHIFTS

Rotating days on a 2-2-2 schedule(2 days on - 2 days off - 2 days on. Then switch the following week 2 days off - 2 days on- 2 days off)
