Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Lexington, KY is hiring for 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm, M-F) with flexibility for 2nd shift. Positions include operating, assisting or driving a forklift to safely produce quality products.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand and move for the shift, basic math and reading comprehension, and prior industrial/manufacturing experience. Overtime and weekend work are possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for entire shift.
• Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, assist, or drive fork truck to safely produce quality product.
• Set up machines and feed them to meet production needs.
• Perform quality checks and stack product for shipment.
• Support production at the Lexington, KY facility and follow safety priorities.

Hiring for 1st Shift, M-F, 7 am - 3 pm . Must be flexible to work either 1st or 2nd Shift.

Overtime: could work 10 hour days, instead of 8 hours.

Pay starts at $17.44 - $20.71 / hour.

• Production positions open which will require operating, assisting or driving fork truck to safely produce a quality product and meet customer needs and expectations
• These positions support production at the Lexington, KY facility by performing tasks that include setting up machines, feeding machines, performing quality checks, and stacking product to be shipped.

What you need to succeed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions
• Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math calculations
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
