Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a safety‑minded worker to join our manufacturing team. You will operate equipment, follow directions, and contribute to quality inspections in a fast‑paced environment. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with potential overtime on various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various manufacturing equipment and follow directions.
• Lift, push or pull >50 lbs, navigate stairs, stand and kneel through shift.
• Read a tape measure and perform inspections as part of quality checks.
• Maintain waste and efficiency standards and keep areas clean and organized.
• Report unsafe conditions and participate in housekeeping tasks with minimal supervision.

Starting Pay:

$20.01 per hour

Shift Available:

3rd – 7PM - 7AM

• Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned.
• Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• General mechanical aptitude & trouble shooting skills.
• Ability to perform complete make ready and shut down.
• Understanding of Quality Inspection Criteria.
• Product Identification and Labeling.
• Maintain Waste and Efficiency standards.
• Performs inspections on various equipment for proper operation and report questionable conditions.
• Performs various housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing functions with minimal supervision to ensure areas are clean and free from debris.

What You Need To Succeed

• Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Good communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff.
• Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Must be flexible on shift as overtime is required.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Requirements

• Successfully pass a Drug Screen, Physical, and background check.
• Provide proof of 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to work ANY shift and Overtime as needed, up to 12 hours a day, and some Saturdays.
• Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50# repetitively and demonstrate good body mechanics.
• Be safety conscious, follow directions, and work safely around moving machinery.
