Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Devens, MA is hiring for a Production Team Member. You will operate corrugator and converting machines and support daily production goals to ensure timely, high-quality packaging products.

Training starts on dayshift regardless of your assigned shift. The role offers daytime or night shifts, OT possibilities, and comprehensive benefits from day one, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• A safety mindset.
• Experience with high-speed, high-volume work.
• Ability to read and understand basic English.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Our facility is not climate controlled.
• Attention to detail, able to read a tape measure and identify product defects.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work required OT including Saturdays. You may work up to 12-hour shifts if OT is necessary.

Responsibilities

• We will train you to operate our corrugator & converting machines to produce corrugated packaging.
• You will learn to perform routine maintenance on the machine & adjust the machine settings to achieve the desired dimensions and quality of the corrugated products.
• Inspect the corrugated products for defects and take corrective actions as needed.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met safely with quality products.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep your work area clean and organized.
• Assist with other tasks as needed, such as loading and unloading materials or operating other machinery & mentoring new team members.

The salary range for this position is $21.76-$29.02 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
