Job summary

Magna International is hiring a Production Team Leader in Liberty, Missouri to support daily manufacturing operations and direct workflow in a production area. You will train operators, support quality initiatives, and ensure safety and efficiency to meet production goals.

This hands-on leadership role requires the ability to lead a team, coordinate maintenance, perform 5S and safety audits, and drive continuous improvement across processes and equipment uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, production, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to make decisions, set direction, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support team members.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to collect information, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Train and support operators on machine operation, quality inspections, and standardized work procedures.
• Assist with daily production activities to help maintain safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate support for machine or tooling concerns.
• Monitor product quality and report non‑conforming parts to leadership and quality teams.
• Update communication boards and elevate operational issues as needed.
• Complete maintenance work orders and support equipment uptime efforts.
• Conduct daily 5S, safety, and workstation audits.
• Lead pre‑shift meetings to communicate goals, concerns, and production updates.
• Respond to Andon calls and coordinate the appropriate support groups.
• Fill in for operators when needed and support production flow throughout the shift.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to improve processes, products, and workplace efficiency.
